Fire Nuns

"Fire Nuns are a frantic and moody garage punk band that ditches the tasty waves, sandy surfboards, and ironic fashion choices that run rampant in the West Coast garage scene; in favor of the dark, rain saturated sound of living in the the Pacific Northwest. It's not all sighs and bummers, though. The catchy pop sensibilities and infectious hooks are plentiful with these boys, due to a steady diet of 60's and 70's pop music implemented by their parents in their youths. Born and raised somewhere in the black minin' hills of Dakota, each member of Fire Nuns can recite the lyrics to Rocky Raccoon without blinking. It's impressive, but a little strange coming from four guys born in the 90's. In 2013, fresh outta high school and with one record already under their belt, they packed up all their gear into a van and drove to Portland, Oregon. Four years and two more records later, they still pride themselves on their DIY approach to everything, including hot sauce. With each passing release and live performance there is an increasingly unique feel to these pop songs that would make Cobain and Lennon proud.
