R.V. Branham, orig. from Southern California, has lived in Portland Oregon since the day that Clinton was elected President. A few dozen of his short stories, novellas, and occasional poems & essays, have been in The Writing Disorder, Merida Review, & Unlikely Stories (online), 2 Gyrls Quarterly, Back Brain Recluse (UK), Téma (Zagreb, Croatia), Poetinis Druskininų Ruduo 2016 (Vilnius, Lithuania), Ellery Queen’s, Asimov’s, as well as the anthols. Red Lemonade’s Hybrid beasts (e-book), Full Spectrum 3, Midnight Graffiti, Dozois & Dann’s Dinosaurs 2, Ghosts 2, & Drawn to Words, & Mother Sun (Melbourne, Oz). Over 200 of his Spanish translations of English-, Croatian-, Russsian-, Slovenian-, Serbian-, Bosnian-, Korean-, Arabic-, Farsi-, French-, Hungarian-, Lithuanian-, & Albanian-lang. works have been in Gobshite Quarterly, as well as on Latin American literary webzines, & the Catalan film journal Transit. He is the founder of GobQ/Reprobate Books, & publishing editor of Gobshite Quarterly—a completely multilingual parallel text Portland, Oregon-based magazine of prose, poems, essays, reasoned rants, etc. Reprobate/GobQ Books has published a bilingual en-face edition of Luisa Valenzuela’s proto-punk classic Deathcats/El gato eficaz (the only published version available in English), as well as such pome collections as Oregon Book award winner Douglas Spangle’s A White Concrete Day: poems, 1978—2013, Coleman Stevenson’s Breakfast: 43 Poems, Brenda Taulbee’s The Art of Waking Up: 62 Poems & a Song of Despair, & M. F. McAuliffe’s Seattle, a novella, & her pome collection, the crucifiXes.
