Love Hiss

Portland, Oregon band LOVE HISS is the songwriting vehicle for Richard Marshall, formerly of the legendary Alternative Tentacles freak-rock band Alice Donut (with whom he co-wrote the albums 'The Untidy Suicides of Your Degenerate Children' and 'Pure Acid Park’). Love Hiss exists as a time capsule of infectiously catchy 90’s-esque Indie rock in the mold of The Breeders, Pixies, Archers of Loaf, and Sebadoh.

Their debut album ‘Hello Comrade!’ (coming out 2023) overlays themes of millennial cults, lost love, existential hair-pulling, and displacement with soaring guitarmonies and locked-in sonic and emotional distortion. Marshall recorded the album solo during the pandemic and then assembled musicians Matt Gannon (Lord Master), Brooke Bina (The Silos) and Lukas Schneider (Neuma, New York Kids) to give folks a raucous live show.
