The Bellicose Minds

We started in 2009 with the mindset of doing something different from what was going on around us. Song we're written and shows booked. The self titled, self released tape demo was released in the fall of 2009.

In early 2010 the buzz or howl sessions were released. We gigged locally like mad men through out 2010. In late 2010 things started to move ahead for us. We we're invited to play distort Vancouver, and booked a west coast tour.

In spring of 2011 we recorded a 7 inch EP, which was released on whispers in darkness. Following its release our original bassist left to do other shit. Mira picked up on bass in June. We wrote lots of music in the Fall of 2011 as well.

In early 2012 our second guitarist/synth player was also no longer part of the band. We gigged heavily as a 3 piece, and wrote a LP with mira. Summer 2012 recording began on the LP at buzz or howl studios. 2012 was out busiest year to date. After recording the LP, we played Distort Vancouver BC, Varning in Montreal fest, and did a west coast tour with Belgrado.

2013 is looking good, the LP will be out soon. A European tour is on the horizon for fall, and a new EP is written and will be recorded in spring.
